Colleague: You wore a dress today?
Me: No, I'm wearing pants.
Colleague: (smirk)
Me: (oblivious)

Colleague: It makes me laugh when you say pants.
Me: huh? (wondering if it has something to do with my accent)
Colleague: Pants are what you wear under your clothes.
Me: huh?
Colleague 2: We call them trousers.
Me: So what are pants?
Colleague 2: You call them underpants.
Me: Oh. Underwear. Ok.

P.S. I'm still not sure why they refer to them as pants, but I guess Americans have a
lot of names for the articles of clothing to be worn underneath your trousers.
P.P.S. Yes, I'm easily amused.  That's why you love me.
